Florence Knoll Lounge Seating at Magedman Modern
A classic modern upholstered chair
Florence Knoll created what she described as "fill in pieces that no one else wants to do." She likens her own designs as "meat and potatoes," explaining, "I neede the piece of furniture for a job, and it wasn't there, so I designed it." The 1954 seating collection has become a modern classic. It has a spare, angular profile that reflects the objective perfectionism of modern design in the early 1960s.
